Good morning. I dropped on this video last night as I was looking for something to wind down with. A bit of comedy wouldn't go amiss. Who remembers Auf Wiedersehen Pet from the 1980's.
There is a whole yoootooob channel devoted to the antics of the lads.
You might need to activate the subtitles if you are not familiar with the Geordie accent. I use the subtitles all the time on most of the videos if the sound is a tad quiet.
Classic comedy-drama series about a group of British builders who head to Germany for employment. The lads arrive with hopes of high wages and frauleins. Guidance: programme contains sexual themes, nude images and moderate language throughout.
Had to laugh at the Guidance warning. There was nothing like that in the 80's, you can always use the 'off' button if you don't like it. My version of guidance is - The lads have a night out in a red light district somewhere in Germany. They discuss the goods on offer, eye up the girls plying their trade, and pull a few birds. Their language is laddish which which is normal for a gang of blokes out on the pull.
While you're at it, don't forget The Boys from the Blackstuff, and Bridging the Gap, when they moved the Tyne bridge to the US. Old fashioned comedy. I love it.
Time for breakfast. I've opened a tin of pineapple chunks which is three years out of date. Perfectly fine in my porridge, with a banana.
