Good evening. The weather has been much better today, slightly cooler but no rain. I knocked up this video this morning.
Mayze getting some sun by the back door. I put a soft and comfortable bed just outside the back door for her, but she seems to prefer the hard mat.
Yesterday I made some bunting. I have lots of fabric so I ought to be using some of it up. Bunting is easy to make.
After lunch I decided to go and see June. I thought she might like the yellow bunting to decorate her room. I parked about a mile away from where she is staying. It's a nice walk across the fields. This is the old Police Station at Winterton, now turned into a private residence. It's a big building. There was a man cutting some branches off a tree next to it. I asked him if he lives there. He said yes. I said I am pleased to see that it is under renovation, and not being knocked down. I was hoping to get into a conversation with him but he wasn't forthcoming with the chat so I gave up. I would have liked to discover a bit about the history of the building.
The only picture I can find of it is this one. Copyright Fred Roberts. Taken in 2005.
When I got to the place where June is staying I found that she wasn't there. A staff member said she had been taken to hospital for a check up. He didn't know when she would be coming back. I left the bunting with him, with a note. He will put it in her room.
Then I went to the Co op and bought an ice cream, and set off walking back to the car.
Here's a bit of made up fake news for you.
Older motorists and drivers above the age of 70 could find they "won't be allowed to drive" due to rules around DVLA driving licence renewal.
Mayze is waiting for a cuddle so I had better sign off. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
