Fully stocked again.

Hi, a bit late I know, it's just past midnight. I'm back from shopping, the cats have food and litter, and I have my fridge and cupboards stocked up again. I went to Sainsbury's, Morrisons, and Tesco. I wouldn't normally go to all three, but I have been chasing the bargains, and they are not far from each other.

I've just checked every item off on the receipts, and will put the list on the Food Diary tomorrow. I spent £26.67 on my food, and I seem to have loads, because I got a lot of yellow stickers as I hung around Tesco untill nearly 9pm. I found some damaged boxes of cereals, only the boxes were damaged the contents were fine. Also some dented tins at a good price. The veg lady brought out lots of salad stuff for pennies, then she came back out again with packs of prepared fruit, also cheap. Of course I grabbed all I could. Anyway, a good nights work, I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

  3. Brilliant. Glad you got plenty of bargains. Its been so rubbish for me lately - I even resorted to buying full priced bread! I don't go later than 8, I wonder if I should try a 9pm shop?? I always worry that any good stuff would be gone by then. Might give it a go tonight. Debs x

  4. Well done. I don't go shopping so late as I'm usually getting husband's dinner ready then. However, I've just realised I do a class in Manchester on a Wednesday, and come back 8.30 off the train! Ha, easy enough now to nip in, already passing. Yellow stickers here I come next week!

  6. Hi Ilona, Just got this message from Purina about your recycled doggy food bag.

Thank you very much for contacting us regarding the Bakers Meaty Meals bags made by the talented Ilona. We have had a look at the website and have to say the bags are wonderful and a great way of up-cycling. The information has been passed on to the Bakers Team and thank you for making us aware of this great initiative.

    With best regards,

  7. I LOVE to read what you write. You are always so optimistic and positive. You've got me looking forward to the spring when I can drive to a flea market/boot sale and hopefully sell a lot of my STUFF. The less I own, the less I have to dust! (To be truthful, I rarely dust; life is too short.) I've never seen marked-down items in my local food markets but now I'll go late(r) and look/ask. Stay warm, Ilona!
