A whole lot of flowers.

I have five boxes of artificial flowers. They belonged to Joyce, the family kindly let me have them to sell for the cat rescue. Today I set about sorting them into bunches. I laid them on the bed so I could see what there was, easier than doing it on the floor.
This was the state of play tonight, 15 bunches made, and whittled down to three boxes. The flowers which are left have shorter stalks so I will make up some smaller bunches with those. I'll do that tomorrow. In the meantime I have to shift this lot off the bed so I can get into it.

Remember the cd's screwed to the fence in town. I thought they were going to do the same with the gate, but they haven't. What they have done is re arranged those on the fence, and added more so they overlap each other. It makes it more solid with no gaps so people can't look through it.

Wet windy and cold today, so I've had a day indoors. The arty tapestry I am making is almost done. I managed to do my walk in between showers. Haven't had the new computer on yet, still on the little net book. Maybe I'll wait till Keith comes back and loads all the files onto it from the old one.

A friend sent me a facebook message last week and I couldn't find it. Today I found it, along with a load of other messages dating as far back as 2016, which I also hadn't seen. Oh dear, I wonder if they are still waiting for a reply. Most of them are from people who saw me on Shed of the Year, or who have found this blog. They were asking to be friends. The truth is that I don't want to be friends with people I don't know, what is the point. I've got a grand total of 11 facebook friends, these are people I have met and know personally. That's enough, suits me fine. Toodle pip. ilona

    1. Same here. Why would someone on the other side of the world want to be friends with me. It's weird.

  2. I don't have anyone on Facebook as a friend unless I actually know them. I do have 3 of my friends who have had their Facebook hacked and also their email due to adding random people who had similar hobbies/ religions or said they did. Also they have had lots of abuse from random people. I think you are very sensible to be careful as anyone can hide who they really are on the internet. All the best x

  3. Do you still sleep in the car? I vaguely recall that you put a mattress in it... It would be interesting to know whether you have enjoyed using it for trips out.

    1. Hi, I haven't done for a long time, but it's nice to know that I have the facility there if needed. When I thought of the idea I needed to look for ways to have cheap or free accommodation. Now I am not so skint I can afford B & B's and in some instances I can treat myself to a hotel.

As a crafty person who uses artificial flower components occasionally I would have bought a box of assorted flowers (your first picture) but not a posy ready made. Looking at bunches ready made I would see some in too many different bunches that I'd want so wouldn't buy. But assuming your customers aren't crafty good luck.

    1. Hi. The bunches will be sold at our cat rescue stand at the Village Fair. I have mixed up the colours and bound them with wire and ribbon to create a fun spray. I will sell them at 50p each. Priced so that children can afford them, and I need to move them on out of my house. It's all about bringing a bit of colour and joy into people's lives, while making money for charity.

  5. I'm on Facebook and Instagram, and I have closed pages with very few friends, Facebook is mainly to keep in touch with my neices and nephews and other family, I'm with you on not allowing strangers on. When I worked I did not allow workmates either.

    1. My family know they can communicate with me via facebook, and I can message them. We are not constantly in touch, we all have our own lives to lead. None of us post on a regular basis.

  6. I have 2 friends on facebook and that's it. I've known them for years. I immediately delete any requests from dodgy looking men smiling with ultra white teeth!

    1. Yes, he is serious about his walking, and very funny as well. I went walking with him and his group in 2013, had a few days up there in his neck of the woods.

  8. Agree with you about facebook, I have 20 friends inc family, now I don't feel so bad about not having 1000's of friends! Last year hubby created a 'work' facebook page and he has a personal one (close friends and family) because I wasn't happy about his work colleagues seeing our personal private stuff, if I want people to know what is going on in our lives, then I write on the blog, Jo
