Bag a bargain

I've been busy. I made some drawstring re usable gift bags, they went quite well last year. People liked them. Don't necessarily have to be used for gifts, can hold a phone or a camera, or keys. Handy little bags to keep small items in your handbag. Easy to make, use up some small pieces of cotton fabric. Simple seams, make the bag, turn the top down once, cut small holes on each side, thread two lengths of cord through, knot each end. Pull tight to close.
Another good idea. Anyone else making them?

Also made some more bunting. Wanted to make even more but I have run out of time. Ah well, plenty of shopping bags to sell, and a few other bits and bobs.

  1. Lovely and very useful. I thought it might be a good idea to make some drawstring bags out of old net curtains as they can be used for anyone trying to use less plastic bags for their produce when shopping.

  2. These bags are always useful when the gift has been taken out.Ive got a few that double up as peg bags and small toiletry bags when I get a weekend away. They could be used for carrying your dog treats in as well.I just love it when things are reused and kept out of landfil and I bet that they will sell really well at your stall.I can remember making one for my plimsoles when I was at school and it was just starting to go threadbare when I left after 4 years daily use!xx

  3. You are so productive Ilona! The drawstring bags will make wonderful gift bags but yes - useful for so many other things too! I would think that bunting would be a great seller too! :)
