A change of frame

Remember this? I put it into a narrow black frame behind glass. The frame wasn't deep enough and the picture was too bulky to stay put, the layers kept separating. I had another frame in mind but went for the black one to show off the colours.
Today I unpicked the lacing on the back, and cut the cardboard backing down to size to fit the gold frame, which is a bit smaller. I re did the lacing and tidied the corners up. It's slightly smaller than it was but the gold frame is perfect for it. Now why didn't I choose that one in the first place.
Another glorious day today. I have mowed the back lawn, and trimmed some hedges. I went to the Post office to withdraw some cash, and washed the car and cleaned it inside. A job I don't like doing very much, but it's having a service on Wednesday so thought I would make it look respectable, after using it to shift rubble about.
It's starting to get dark so I had better close the summer house up for the night. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

    1. The first photo was taken without the glass so no reflections. I liked the contrast between the black frame and the multi colours. Now I am liking the gold frame which which compliments the sparkly gold centres of the puffs.

    1. It's a mix of the traditional and the modern abstract. The puffs are traditional as is the frame, but the way they are arranged is abstract. I think it works.

  3. "Now why didn't I choose that one in the first place." Because you are a creative person and you have to try-out different ideas to see what will or won't work. Got to say I liked it both ways. With the gold frame it's not quite as bold and modern.

    1. I sometimes go all around the houses, but I usually get there in the end.

  4. Haha, my car goes in for some work this afternoon and I have not long finished cleaning it up. I pulled things out of the car that have been there for over two years, so it was high time I made it look a bit more respectable!

    1. It's easy to store things in a car. I usually empty it after each outing. It's tidier than my house.
