An addition to my outdoor seating area, a rustic coffee table, made to my own exclusive design. Imagine how much this would have cost from a garden centre. I reckon about £150. The legs were the slats from a single bed that I took apart. If you send me twenty quid I will send you a copy of the master plan and you can make one yourself.
Dinner tonight is steamed veg, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and sweet potato. Served with a cheese and onion roll, that's the kind that is in pastry, not bread. Drizzled with toasted sesame seed oil. I've finished the mayo.

ReplyDeleteI am getting used to the open aspect of it now. I can see it all from the windows in my house. The extra space is comforting, I couldn't live with being squashed in. I thought I might downsize one day, but I will enjoy the garden a bit longer.

DeleteLove the table :) I've never used a steamer, but reading on here the other day inspired me to give it a go - I found a nice small one on e-bay, arrived this morning :)
ReplyDeleteSteaming is good. Check while you are steaming, stick a fork into the veg. Don't over cook.
