Something I knocked up

An addition to my outdoor seating area, a rustic coffee table, made to my own exclusive design. Imagine how much this would have cost from a garden centre. I reckon about £150. The legs were the slats from a single bed that I took apart. If you send me twenty quid I will send you a copy of the master plan and you can make one yourself.
Dinner tonight is steamed veg, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and sweet potato. Served with a cheese and onion roll, that's the kind that is in pastry, not bread. Drizzled with toasted sesame seed oil. I've finished the mayo.
Cheerio for now. ilona

  1. I think all that hard work has produced a very nice space to sit and enjoy your garden.

    1. I am getting used to the open aspect of it now. I can see it all from the windows in my house. The extra space is comforting, I couldn't live with being squashed in. I thought I might downsize one day, but I will enjoy the garden a bit longer.

  2. The table is brilliant. It's all looking really nice. If I send you £40, will you please send me two copies of the master plan so I can make two tables?

  3. Love the table :) I've never used a steamer, but reading on here the other day inspired me to give it a go - I found a nice small one on e-bay, arrived this morning :)

    1. Steaming is good. Check while you are steaming, stick a fork into the veg. Don't over cook.
