I was determined to go out today, after the rain yesterday. It did forecast more for today, but never mind, I will take a chance. It was dry and bright when I set off at about 11am. Not far to go. Crowle is about half an hour away. They have an Agricultural Show on. I parked about a mile from the site, the plan was to go for a walk as well. I paid my £7 to get in. The field was massive, with a lot going on. I ambled around.
This is Ian's Mobile Farm. They have all kinds of animals for children to get close up to. They also do school visits. Take a look at their web site.
I had a chat with our friendly Rural Police Force.
Inside the produce and flower tent I took a couple of photos. While having a chat with a man who was showing his ferrets, the rain came. I took shelter in his tent. As it turned out we had a fantastic conversation. He was an ex lorry driver and had a fleet of twelve trucks a few years back. The bonus was that he is fully awake with what is going on in the UK. We sure did put the world to rights, as they say. There are a lot more conspiracy theorists out there, more than we realise. Chat with a stranger and see if you can find one.
The rain kept coming which dampened the spirits and people started leaving early. The entertainment in the ring was halted. Such a shame when so much effort has been put into organising it. I walked the mile back to my car in the rain. Thank goodness I took my super big Van Goch sunflower umbrella.
As I look through the window now at 7pm the sun is shining. Now I will make my dinner.
Thanks for popping in. Have a good week. Toodle pip. ilona
