Scotland Day 10

Last day on Mainland Orkney, and I have been to the moon and back. This is a touring art instillation by Luke Jerram, which is showing at the Stromness Academy. It measures seven metres in diameter, made by Cameron Balloons of Bristol. For more information go to Luke Jerram's web site.

Oh boy this moon is heavy, I can't lift it  :o)
Early night tonight, early start tomorrow, the boat sails at 6.30 am. Time to go home.  ilona

Its lovely to have holidays..but its also nice to get home, put your feet up with a cuppa and stroke Heidi and Mayze.I bet that they were glad to have you back!.Now youve got to catch up and let us know what bargains you got last week!I hope that you managed to catch the Wilkinson sale.Tester pots 10p...although I missed out on those. Then other testers at 25p.I left the testers and bought 2 tins of Wilkos paints that were £2 each instead of £7.Also,I got seeds...veg and flowers for 10p instead of £1.All ready for next year!xx

  4. Haven't been to the moon and back, but I've been to Orkney a couple of times and was very impressed. Also with Hoy where I stayed in a bothy at Rackwick Bay. Highlights were seeing a pod of around 30 porpoises cruising back and forth in the bay, and meeting Sir Peter Maxwell Davies (before he moved to Sanday).
