A walk in the park

Yesterday I sat on this bench in the sunshine. The park was quiet, not many people around. Mum's with small children in the playground. One or two dog walkers in the woods. A family in the courtyard enjoying their food outside the cafe. And me. The days are a lot warmer now so I can remove some layers and choose clothes which are more summery. The old blue shorts have come out again. I call them longs, because they are not very short. They have big useful pockets.
I walked around the whole park, feeling the warmth of the sun, and enjoying the fragrances wafting my way from the flowers and bushes. These yellow flowers smell absolutely divine.

The front door of the house is closed for the day. It's almost 5pm and the shop and cafe are closing very soon. The park is open until 9pm in the summer. Free entry after 4.30pm. Perfect for a stroll after a hard day at the office. Or in my case, a hard day working in the garden.

I love this perfect tree. It's huge with blossoms all the way to the top.

A patch of wild flowers adding a splash of colour.

This is a spruce, so the label on the trunk says.

Looking up into the tree and admiring the crazy way the branches sprout from the many trunks which have knitted themselves together over the years.

Still a few blue and white bells left.
More flowers.

Playing with the wonky mirror.

Another warm day today, and a day in the garden. Have a nice weekend.
