Alf the Legend

Made me chuckle this morning while eating my breakfast.

Have this one to be going on with while I finish my latest artwork, the Church Window. I'll get the pics on later. Toodle pip.  ilona

  2. Blimey that brings back some memories!.I think I was a kid to early teens when I used to watch this.It also brings back a memory of going to watch the film of it at the cinema,or the pictures as we used to call them!.It was winter time, really cold and I had put on tights,2 pairs of socks,my Levi jeans and my knee high boots.Half way through watching the film,I got really hot and irritable and tried to take my boots off from under the leg of my jeans.Well the zip on my boots, wouldnt come down, stuck half way and I sat fidgeting all the way through the film, getting hotter and hotter.I felt like I was trapped in a straight jacket, lol.I used to love all the old comedy shows.xx

    1. Yes, the old comedy shows were very funny. I don't see anything funny to laugh about now.

  5. This reminds me of an American show called All In The Family. Very funny.

  6. I'm glad some people have a sense of humour. Jan accused me of promoting racism. I particularly chose this clip because there is no racism in it whatsoever.

  7. Even as a young teenager I realised the 'racism' was a way of showing up a racist for the pathetic bigot he actually was. With his misogynistic ranting and bullying attempts to confirm his head of the house status Alf always ends up being made a fool of and isolated from the rest of the family.
    Ridiculed by everyone.
This had me in stitches and the look of glee that passes between Else and Rita on hearing that he might get 'put away' for a year is precious.
