Heading into the sunset.

What a glorious day today. I started off cleaning boots but abandoned that to go for a walk. Do you recognise this tree? I like to see the gulls following the tractor. It comes to the edge of field.

Then turns round to go back.
And here they come, ready to grab a juicy worm or two.
It was four o clock when I set off so after a brief sit down on the bench I pressed on. Heading into a dramatic sunset.

I got back to the village at 6.15pm. Tomorrow I will finish cleaning the boots. Now I'm having a glass of wine and watching some videos. Scott o Connor has put one up, his latest artwork is fantastic.
Have a good weekend. Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. What lovely photos. I live near farmland also and enjoy watching the farmers plant and later make hay. Enjoy your weekend my friend. Blessings from America.

    1. Looking like a sunny morning today. I think the garden will get some attention. A local dog walk will fill an hour.

  2. This makes me miss all those years I spent walking the fields with my dogs. We were out everyday, no matter what, and I saw the sunset almost every night. I need some more dogs.

    1. Dogs are good company yes, but it is not necessary to have one to enjoy the countryside. You can walk without a dog.

  3. Thank goodness it's drying up so the farmers can get back on the fields and for your walks

    1. It's nice to see nature in all it's seasons, but a relief not to have to plod through mud.

  4. Hello, Ilona,
I appreciate the photos. Seeing the tilled field brought back good memories. Funny how I can remember the smell of tilled earth, but I've been told that smell evokes the strongest memories. I used to dig potatoes for supper using a big gardening fork, and when the bunch came out of the soil, the smell was so good. And sunsets, well, I imagine most people love them, the peace of it. It's time to rest. Thank you for sharing them.

  5. Hello again, Ilona. I forgot to ask. Your photo of the green trees, may I please copy it to use as a screensaver? The trees, the view, remind me of a chapel.
If you say no, not to worry. I've heard plenty in my life 😄. Best regards.

    1. You can use my photo's, they can be shared. Just don't claim them as your own, which I'm sure you wont do. Thanks for asking.
