Psychologically speaking

Good morning. The weather is a bit dodgy again. Rain overnight, rain this morning, now it's dry and windy and sunny. I think we are due for some more showers as the day goes on. I have a doggy walk this afternoon and plenty to keep me busy in the house and garden.
I bought a copy of Psychologies last week from the local newsagent. I am wanting to support them a bit more, take some of my custom there.
I used to have Psychologies on a subscription but didn't renew it after the year was up. Now I will just pick up a copy now and again, when I feel like it.
Flicking through it there are articles which interest me. Open your eyes to awe and enhance your experience of life. Learn to accept the seasonal ebb and flow of life. Expand your horizons and leap into learning in March. Begin your day the right way with a mindful morning routine. Award winning coach helps a client find the courage to overcome controlling behaviour. And so on, a good selection there.
A message on the front cover for everyone. Yes, that is my mission.
Thanks for popping in. Have a good weekend everyone. Catch ya later.  ilona

  1. That sounds like my kind of magazine, I might pick up a copy. I can't get into books just now, don't have the concentration. Magazine are getting a bit pricey, but don't mind if it's a good read.

    1. Magazines are too pricy. I have only just started buying them again. I have bought Stitch Magazine in the past, and sometimes I might buy one about places to visit in Yorkshire, but I don't bother with the tacky gossipy ones.

  2. Create a life you love, relax and recharge. These are great messages and it is good you are supporting a local news agent. Terra

    1. I couldn't do my whole shop in our local shop. They sell groceries but their prices are a bit expensive, as you would expect. Their eggs are local so I will buy them.

  3. I think it's also a good idea to support libraries as well, as I think they're a valuable lifeline for some people. I'm surprised the government hasn't finished them already. I'm definitely going to buy this magazine, looks interesting.

    1. Our mobile library seems a bit hit and miss at the moment. I have always supported it, taken books out that I didn't read, use it or lose it. Now they keep putting notices on our village page saying it won't be coming for whatever reason, on this date and that date.

  5. I also read this magazine. I tend to use the Library app ‘Libby’ as it’s free on there. Not great if you can only view on a phone but if you have a tablet or laptop/computer it’s easier to read. It does have some great articles in it too. We all need to try and find the positive in our lives and this world! Never more than now I feel!
