My bed is sagging.

How nice, another warm and sunny day. Crafty Club was jolly this morning. It was someone's birthday and we have this tradition now of celebrating with food. There was a smell of cooking coming from the kitchen and people were tucking into bacon and sausage sandwiches. They offered me a veggie sausage but I had to decline. I had a cooked breakfast before I left home because there was some steamed vegetables which needed eating up. I added some noodles. I was full when I arrived at the Village Hall.
I knocked up this video yesterday as I sat in my summerhouse, and uploaded it today.
This is the sunlounger frame which I use in the car for a bed. I have three layers of foam for a mattress. The cords which run across side to side, and top to bottom, are beginning to stretch. I need more support because the last time I used it I had a pain in my shoulders. The top of it rests on the upturned back seat, and it forms a perfect six feet bed.
I have five metal rods, can't remember where I got them from. I can use them to strengthen the cords. Each rod is fixed by two cable ties at each end.
They overhang by an inch on both sides but that doesn't matter.
I put it in the car, added the foam, and lay down on it to see if it had stopped the sagging. It was fine from my bottom down, but underneath my body the metal rod in the middle had bent. I thought they would have held my weight. So, back to the drawing board. I need another solution. I'll play around with a new idea tomorrow.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. Dear Ilona,

I am sure you will craft up a good solution for that camping bed. I enjoyed watching your summerhouse video yesterday. It looks very cozy and your cats seem happy with the entire garden setup too.

I wanted to let you know that you inspired me to start up my own diary blog. I am excited to start getting into the routine of documenting my daily life. I forget so much of the fun things that I do, and usually only remember the stressful things in life. I am hoping doing this will slowly change that mindset overtime.

    Have a great day,

    - Carrie

    1. Enjoy writing your blog Carrie. Beware of the naysayers, they will want to tell you where you are going wrong. Best to moderate before you publish. If you don't it could end up a big bunfight. Writing a dairy will encourage you to get out more, and look for new opportunities.

I agree with what you said about keeping a diary, I am excited to see what will come from it.
