Good morning from a sunny North Lincolnshire. Playing catch up. So what did I do after I left the Craft Fair at Lincoln on Sunday. I recently took a walk along the canal from Burton Waters to Lincoln, so why not park at the same place and walk in the opposite direction towards Torksey. Could be good, but then I remembered the canal walk was not very interesting. Long, straight, flat nothing much to look at.
Then I spotted a sign for Bransby Horses. This is a charity for rescue equines which I support from time to time. Over the years I have been several times.
I might as well call in now while I am in the area, and hand over my donation in cash. Good plan. It's nice to see first hand the good work they do. Supporting local is best. The weather was perfect for a stroll around the paddocks.
In the meantime, I'm going to sneak in two more photo's taken from my kitchen window an hour ago. How good is that. I have not covered my front in tarmac for extra parking, like so many others in the village. No Sireee my garden is for nature. Lots of birds coming for food. Water bowls for them to drink from or bathe in. Ducks flying in for breakfast, and hedgehogs munching away as soon as it grows dark.
No Crafty Club this week, Post Office man not coming, no Coffee Morning tomorrow. Oh well, spose I will have to entertain myself then.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
Wow! Really! Chicks already and not just pink ones. That's an early laying. My great tits fledge around June 8th each year from the box.
ReplyDeleteThat nest seems really exposed for you to take such a picture. Hasn't th bird noticed the cats?
Jean.
My cats have a big back garden to hang out in. They rarely go in the front garden, which is where the nest is. The bush is very thick, an evergreen with spikey pine needles rather than leaves.
DeleteThe horses are so pretty. It’s great they have a nice place to relax and live. Look at momma and the baby birds ❤️. You have given them a nice place to start life.
ReplyDeleteSunny here a few clouds. I think spring is finally here. Looking forward to rest of your day out. Take care.
My small front garden patch is left to nature. I trim the tops of the bushes so they don't block my view to the road, and trim the outside of the two sides so it doesn't spill over onto my neighbours garden or the footpath.
