Blogger settings

I like many other bloggers are having problems with receiving comments. I have changed the settings from only allowing those with a Google account, to Anyone.

It has been suggested that the comments settings should be adjusted to a pop up page. I hate that and prefer them to be embedded on the actual blog post, so I have not changed that setting.

Can someone send me a comment on this please so I can check if it is working.

Thanks.   ilona

  1. Hello Ilona, I was just wondering if you still have those patchwork curtains, as I thought them very eye-catching. H x

    1. Yes, I still have them. They are hanging in the small window at the bottom of the stairs, and the bigger window at the top of the stairs. Makes the place look bright and cheerful.

    1. Yes, I do check them first. I cannot leave it open to publish immediately. I will not allow trolls to take over my blog.

  13. Hi Ilona. I don't seem to have any issues with receiving comments but I do dislike the new thing they have now about whether the comment was published or not. I have to make sure I have scrolled down far enough so I can read the message when I click on "publish." It is all rather annoying.

    1. Thank you I will. As I moderate the spam usually comes straight to me first. But hey ho, blogger may try to override that and make the decision for me. I will keep my eye on things.

  22. Hopefully you won't be mentioning anything to do with the C word from now on as I imagine it was driving people away from your blog, or at least from interacting. Not necessarily because they agree or disagree with you but because people get tired of reading about it or having messages pushed onto them.

    1. Maybe I should explain, Jim. I will talk about anything I like, which will include any of the words beginning with C that you can think of. So yes, Covid and Corona are included in that. If people don't like it there are plenty of other blogs they can read. By the way, have you seen the latest reports coming from Pfizer? The truth is coming out now.
