Saving money on hand washing.

Hello, plenty of sunshine today, so I went a walk while this video was uploading to yooootoooob. Six miles walked today.
I've got a few photo's so I'll put them on tomorrow. Short and sweet tonight. Thanks for popping in. We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. I so love your videos and I do the same as you, using all the odds n sods of anything that foams up to put in an old hand wash bottle.I must have had it for about 5 years now and its still working well.I also use good old fashioned soap as well. The bar of soap that Im using at the moment is also used for washing my hair because it is really creamy. My hair looks no different than if I had used shampoo!.I notice that you had one of my favourites on the wall, the tree table runner. It really is lovely! Your garden is looking well also.Im starting doing a rockery in my garden because Im fed up with weeds growing through the soil.So I have some rocks that the council work men were getting rid of.Im hoping that by laying these with succulent plants in the gaps it might solve the problem a bit.xx

    1. Hi Debi. I wonder if it might be worth putting a layer of weed suppressant membrane on the ground before adding the rocks.

  2. That is a really great idea, I do exactly the same but add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to each bottle, smells nice and helps kill germs.

  3. It was lovely hearing your voice. I have the antibacterial handwash and sanitiser, but they last ages because .only people who visit might want to use them, I still wash my hands with a cake of soap. We have sanitising "stations" at entrances to supermarkets here where you get your hands sprayed before you go in, then like you, I always wash my hands whenever I get home from anywhere. I remember my mum diluting things like shampoo and dish detergent years ago. I don't bother because I use very little anyway. Your garden is lovely and green.

  5. I love your money saving tips Ilona. I think we have all been sold the anti bac thingy but as you rightly say, soap is as good as any expensive alternatives. Your garden looks very today and lush! It puts mine to shame as I still have lots of leaves to sweep up. I love your snuggly coat, I'm the same, don't like heating as it aggravates my asthma. xx

  6. Your videos let me feel like I am sitting down for a chat with a dear friend. One who has lots of clever ideas; I like how you make rope and then that pretty basket, plus the excellent tip about using anything soapy to refill your soap dispensers. Have a great walk.
