Open wide.

No, I'm not having a covid test, someone is pouring wine down my throat. This young man has a good job, I bet he gets to eyeball lots of ladies knockers. I was on holiday in Majorca, I think I was about 19 ish.
Sorting out my photo's is proving to be a mammoth task. This is only part of them. As well as those loose in envelopes, I have lots more in albums. I'm putting them into piles, and ditching the ones which are no use at all. Then when they are all in piles I will go through them again and sort into categories, probably ditching more as I check through them. I am beginning to regret starting this job, but it needs to be done.
The weather has turned wet and windy, I haven't stepped outside the door today. Oscar has just gone out, I will call him back in before I go to bed. I've made another big pan of stew today. It's the easy option instead of making three separate meals. This one has got celery, yellow pepper, potatoes, carrots, green beans, and broccoli in it. I have got a bag of couscous so I am using it to thicken the stews.

Surprisingly it's not that cold tonight. I've put the gas fire on in the living room, I don't need to put the central heating on.

I'm going to watch some videos now. I was pleased to see that Scott O Connor has put another one out today. He has been quiet for a while. He made the most beautiful piece of wooden artwork. I've just watched Chrome, Vancity Vanlife. He has moved out of the back country and is now in the town because he needs to do some work in his van and needs an internet signal.

Thanks for popping in. We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. I need to go through old photos too. The ones on the computer are easy, select a month and year, look at them the close the folder and press delete. Others are in boxes and envelopes in a suitcase, inside another suitcase way up high in the above-the-wardrobe cupboard. Those things require a muscly man on a ladder to get down.

    1. I think that when we switched over to digital photography a lot of history will be lost. A shame, storing them on a computer is not the same as looking through an album.

  2. Morning Ilona.Im sure that I have a photo of a man pouring wine down my throat from them days!.I wonder if they still do that?I have gotten rid of a few of my photos over the years, usually ones of people who we met on holiday and I now cant remember where we were and what their names were, lol. The rest are mainly family photos that I couldnt ever bare to part with.Well, its been a wet n windy couple of days here in Leicester, although we did manage to get a couple of hours walk on Christmas day with my 2 grandaughters and the dogs.It was lovely because I have only seen them once since March because of the virus. No houses were entered but it was great just watching the dogs chasing after their ball on the park.We only past a couple of people walking their dogs.It was very quiet, but I think that was because it was between 2 and 4 in the afternoon and most people were eating.I will be glad when this year is over...not that it will be any different...but I think its all down to my frame of mind, lol. Our street is looking very messy at the minute, because people have put out loads of bags of recycling and the wind has blown them all over every where. The recycling lorry doesnt come until Wednesday.Anyway,Im off to make my second coffee of the day and maybe spoil myself and have a round of toast with it,lol.xx

  3. It's 'staying indoors' kind of weather here so I think I might make a pan full of soup too. It will be a good way to use up any veggies that are looking a bit tired.

  4. Oh gosh sorting through photographs is always a much bigger job than you imagine it is going to be isn't it. I did the same a couple of years back and it took an age. In the end I was quite brutal, but I still have some loose ones as well as the half dozen albums that are falling apart.

  5. Physically handling a photo us just the best. I know photos were far more formal because you couldn't afford to waste film but when I look at some photos on my phone and facebook I think , why would you take a photo of that.
