Coffee chat. New artwork.

I finished this yesterday. Very difficult to photograph pinks and reds for some reason, but this is pretty close to the real thing. The strands are DNA, the red Suffolk Puffs are red blood cells. Some of them have black dots, they are contaminated with spike protein.
It looks purple when I try to take a close up.

The picture stretched over a board and laced at the back. I cut a piece of corrugated cardboard from the bottom of a box.
The cardboard is covered with dark blue fabric and also laced at the back. Then it is screwed to the picture. I cut plastic washers to prevent the screw heads from biting into the cardboard. The screws must be just long enough to go into the board and not come out at the front.
The back is now covered, wire to hang it, to finish it off.
Now what to call it. I have two names, New Variant, or Mutation.
Now looking for inspiration for the next project.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. It is really nice to get up and have your video to start the day off!.Love your finished craft work and I am always amazed how you finish it off in such a tidy way.Your sound advice, for living a frugal life is so true.Nothing apart from food comes into my house now! Sometimes,I struggle to remember the last time I spent any money, lol.Although I have got 3 weekend breaks booked for the coming months, which I would rather spend my money on.Experiences and different places to explore are my thing now.Lovely memories of these trips take up less space than stuff, lol.Well I was going to say that the sun is beaming down..but as I am writing this the sky has gone grey and it looks like we are in for a down pour.Never mind,we are up and got the start of a brand new day!.xx

  2. Thank you for your comment, Ursula. You have a good handle on the current situation. We are in the minority at the moment. I would like to think it will all come right eventually, but it's going to be a long haul.

I hope you don't mind if I don't publish it. I stipulated no comments on that page because it is very time consuming to answer all the negative comments. I am not going to spend hours explaining my reasoning. I get enough negativity on the main blog posts, most get deleted.

The page is for information. I research and supply the links, it's up to others if they wish to check them out, or not. The page has had 15,000 views up to now. I'm glad you found it useful.
