Pushed

Thinking about the strikes that are going on, or are planned, I think it's logical to say we are being pushed. If you look at how the strikes have wider implications it starts to make sense. Knock on effects are invisible until the shit hits the fan.

Cant go on a train forces people to drive. Can't afford petrol or diesel no bother, just stop driving and don't go anywhere. Stay at home or get the bike out. Car rots in the garage, no bother, get a new electric version. Can't afford to charge it up, batteries flat and no longer working. Huge amounts of dud batteries are dumped into a big hole in the ground. Stay at home. Buy an old banger, petrol or diesel, no bother. They stopped producing the fuel for it. All entertainment and work now online.

Cant send a letter, no posties to sort and deliver it. Postage stamps are only available by scanning a bar code. Pen and paper becomes extinct, not needed. Closure of Post Offices, not needed. Delivery drivers out of a job. Post Office vehicles sold off to parcel delivery couriers. Work contracted out, no maintenance of vehicles to pay for. All communications now online. Emails and suchlike.

Can't get to see a doctor. Feeling ill, can't go to hospital, no nurses. No one to diagnose what the problem is. Have an accident have a fall, no one to help. Small routine procedures stop, no one to carry them out. Have to rely on friends and neighbours for help. Go online to get information about your health problem. Self diagnose. Go to the pharmacy for medication, ask the pharmacist which drugs may help. That's if you have transport to get there.

I mourn the loss of face to face communications, in a world where everything is managed by robots and their masters. Where the accumulation of money is seen as power. When billions and trillions of wealth  is never enough. When unstoppable power destroys everything around it.

My before breakfast thoughts. It's looking like a nice day. Time to go out. Thanks for popping in.

  1. I value your opinions Ilona - I don't trust that anyone in authority cares for my welfare any longer - I wish I'd realised sooner x

    1. Hello Flis. I imagine you now have a good idea about what is going on. Use that information to your advantage. Turn over a new leaf. You cant turn back time, but the way forward is to question everything, and make plans for your future, because you do have a future.

  2. A bleak but probably accurate appraisal of what's in store for us. Thank you for opening the comments again.

    1. It's not looking too good. The more people question and start working things out for themselves, the better chance we have. Every day there are new developments. Doctors are coming forward to speak out. Lawyers are working towards prosecuting those who are deliberately destroying the economy, which has a knock on effect on people's mental health. I live in hope that there will be a point when things turn around.

  3. Spot on as always Ilona. Very obvious where it is all going to those who have eyes to see. The digital QR code will control us all once the social credit score system comes in. People laugh but they won't be laughing when it happens!

    1. People poke fun at me for spending cash. Wait until bank accounts are locked and people can't get their money out.

  4. Son is working on advanced technology for vehicles that drive themselves at the moment. If, well when, it takes off all taxi drivers will no longer have a job and maybe lorry drivers and buss drivers too.

    1. Hello Anon. That's the way it's going. Humanity has been pushed aside in pursuit of power and financial gain.

  5. I prefer to spend cash too. Once I've spent it it's gone. And it makes me very choosy when spending it.
