Robin Hood and his Merry Men

I loved Robin Hood. Remember the programme? Richard Green played Robin. Remember the song? Remember what he did? He robbed the rich and gave it to the poor. I think we need Robin Hood to come back. We need to reverse the current trend of the rich robbing the poor. Robin Hood where are you?

Gardening today. Warm, but not as hot as yesterday. Toodle Pip.   ilona

  1. I remember Robin Hood -Too right Ilona! - I am feeling anxious about everything now-There seems to be something I'm being bombarded with daily -I used to be gullible enough to believe what I was told - Only very recently I don't-My main concern is for my health and caring for my dogs and I'm scared x

    1. Stop watching TV. Stop browsing the internet. Get off social media. Concentrate on your own life, make it the best that you can.

  2. Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
    riding through the glen.
    Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
    and his merry men.
    Feared by the bad,
    Loved by the good,
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood!

Yes, we saw the Richard Greene version in the US, too!

    1. I can still picture him in my mind. Richard Greene was a hunky guy and I was a young impressionable gal. Here is a short video of some of his film clips, and that song.

    2. I remember hearing a funny story of a couple getting married in the 80's. For going down the aisle, they wanted the Brian Adams song 'Everything I do, I do it for you', which was the theme to the Robin Hood series on TV at the time. However, they just said they'd like the theme from Robin Hood, and ended up going down the aisle to 'Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen'! Not sure if it's true but it made me laugh at the time. H x

    3. Made me laugh as well. Brilliant song with so many memories of growing up in the fifties.

    1. I've been looking back on his life. I didn't realise how much film work he did, and how he crossed the pond several times between the UK and the US.
