  1. The less I watch the news and read the headlines the happier I feel. It's a lot of scaremongering, and it's a shame but it hides the things that we DO need to hear about.

  2. Headlines sell newspapers. Nine times out of ten you read the article and the headline doesn't come into it at all. There is far too much news these days. Especially news that isnt completely researched, a viewpoint has been written/quoted from an online article that is totally trashed somewhere else.

  3. I gave up taking a national newspaper at the time of the first covid Government Briefings way back a year ago when I saw the level of intelligence exhibited by newspaper journalists right across the board. I had already given up tv news bulletins some years before and the behaviour of the tv media at the same briefings reinforced my decision as being the correct one.

  5. The news is very negative these days, try and avoid watching. My husband watches it and I keep telling him to cut it down as it is no good for our mental health. Missing the days of normality and no doubt most people feel the same. Just carry on living one day at a time is my new motto.xxx Liz Amy and Benny.xxx
